I usually do not experiment with making fondant cakes, but I thought that this halloween would be the perfect excuse to give it a try! I have to say, I had so much fun "winging it" and making the cake-- it came out to be pretty cute ;-) -- 4 layers of an 8" chocolate fudge cake with buttercream icing and fondant decoration. The cute purple spider is even edible if you just haddd to take a bite! Working with fondant can always be a little tricky, especially when it comes to making a smooth, even cake. I can't wait to work on the next one!!
