Just my favorite little character ever-- EEYORE!!! I was so excited to work on this cake and make this Eeyore fondant figure to sit as the topper. The baby pinks, purples and florals make this the perfect cake to welcome little Hailey Grace!
Pretty much one of my favorite cakes to date! I love that you can turn such a classic theme into a sweet cake. I absolutely loved carving out the little teddy bear heads and adding texture for their fur! This simple quilted design allows you to keep the elegant look of a 3 tier cake while giving you a platform to have fun with. I also loved this customers color scheme of teal, white and touches of metallic gold!
I loved making this unique little cake to celebrate such a special Grandpa! Vanessa asked me to make a cake to show off her daughters "Super Grandpa". She wanted to make sure he had muscles and was holding onto his two little granddaughters!
It was an honor to make the cake and desserts for my friend Cathy's soon-to-be baby boy! Cathy wanted the soft blue colors with accents of metallic gold and small touches of red throughout! I kept the cake bottom tier with clean lines and was inspired by the waves at sea for the top tier!
It was nice to take a break from the gold and create this elegant silver and white Communion cake and cupcakes for a brother and sister. The classic quilting detail and simple ribbon cross topper make this cake so delicate, sweet and elegant for a special day.
Congratulations Diego and Mia!
Juliana's first birthday was full of amazing spring flowers, fresh grass and of course fun desserts to go with it! I created a dessert table with a four layer pink ombre cake, tulip and flower head cookie pops, floral cake pops and "grass" cupcakes. I love how bright and full of life this theme is for a little girl!
Happy Birthday Juliana!
Haley has made the great accomplishment of graduating with her education degree from Rutgers and her mother wanted to throw her a graduation party with some customized treats! For her cake, I made a red velvet one tier cake with custom decorations on top to incorporate her degree! My favorite part was drawing on the chalkboard of course! The cupcakes married back to the cake with handmade topper decorations.
Kenneth had his first paintball party with his friends and wanted a special cake for his day. His Grandmother asked if I could make this paintball cake inspired by a great image that she found on Pinterest. The topper is made with rice cereal and the paint splatters have colorful gumball centers!
Happy Birthday Kenneth!
Brittany wanted to celebrate her 25th birthday in black, white and of course gold! She is just crazy about glitter, glitz and glam- so this was the perfect theme to hit off her quarter of a century celebration. This was my first attempt at confetti-quins and airbrushing them gold! I love how it came out and I had so much fun with the new technique. Looking forward to more glitz projects
to practice on!
Happy 25th Birthday Brittany!
Brittany is surprising her husband on his 30th birthday with a cake that is all about him. I draped black fondant on this cake to create a realistic looking motorcycle jacket with a patch of the Portuguese Escudo to personalize the cake for Bruno.
Happy Birthday Bruno!
Lilianna will be here shortly and we are welcoming her with a baby shower that is just as sweet as she will be! This party was based on these simple colors- white, black, baby pink and rose pink. The colors lend a sophisticated feel to the shower but still allow for the sweet touches to recognize the new baby girl.
My cookie collection for this project was inspired 100% BY "YOU CAN CALL ME SWEETIE". She is a fantastic cookie artist with amazing detail and talent. I was asked to mimic her cookie collection, as it had the same feel that the customer was targeting. This cookie collection has ruffled 3D fondant details, airbrushing and wet-on-wet mini rose details.
For the cake, I used the beautiful black and white stripe and ruffled fondant detail to inspire the decorations. For both cookies and cake, I added small pink and white ladybugs as a sentimental detail for the mother-to-be. These small details add something special and personal to the sweets
for a very important day.
Excited for baby Lilianna!
These cupcakes were made based on the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme. My favorite to make was the clubhouse of course! I had to fit in all of the characters for Shar-Ron's second birthday-- mickey, minnie, goofy, pluto, daffy and daisy-- All in the classic clubhouse colors. Such a great theme to incorporate every kids favorite character! Toppers give everyone something fun to fight over :-)
Jace had his first birthday party this weekend and it was based on the popular show Chica the Sprout! This past month I have definitely worked on my knowledge of childrens TV. I went from not knowing ANYTHING, to knowing every show out there-- and how to mold all of the characters faces! I made Chica the main theme for this little boys cake and cupcake collection, The cake was inspired by an image found on Cake Central and the cupcakes were made around the farm theme.
Happy Birthday Jace!
Khloe is turning 1 today and for her birthday, her mother is putting together an elegant first birthday party. When you look at this cake, you would not think of a little girl, which is why I am just in love with the idea of creating a beautiful party surrounded by pink and gold sophistication. The soft pink color still screams "little girl", but the ornate gold details turn this little baby into a princess. Such a nice way to skip the novelty themes and keep a gorgeous look!
Happy Birthday Little Khloe!
