Iris & Berlais are getting married and they had to have something sweet for their celebration! They decided to have a beautiful outdoor ceremony and some fun dinner and dancing to follow. At the restaurant there was a nice table set up to feature the tiered cake and cupcakes and the fuschia candy bar - awesome credit to my future sistaass Christina and Bianca ;-) Fuschia brought a beautiful pop of color to the restaurant and to all of the desserts.
Pro: Sweets were perfect for grab and go! We even had adorable little heart boxes to pack up your cupcake for the ride home!
Con: I stuffed my face with scoops of jellybeans all night while no one was looking. Thanks candy bar.
The wedding turned out to be beautiful for two of my favorite people.
Best wishes for Iris & Berlais!
He is from England.. she is from the USA. What better way to show off both than with their own cookie!
These cookies are iced with royal icing and hand painted to resemble each flag. The stars on the American flag are small white decorative sprinkles -snowflake sprinkles to be exact :-)
Even though the shower is usually all about "her", I think it is fair to say that the groom can have a little something that represents him too!
Sometimes, there is just something refreshing about less detail and less fuss!
These monogram engagement cookies are a perfect example of how less is more- in a beautiful way.
Kristen and Gene used a circle shape with thin letters for their initials as their "stamp" for their big day. I mimicked their monogram sticker when baking their engagement cookie favors by creating a navy blue fondant with white royal icing letters.
The bride was not styling with glitter and shine, so I incorporated a pop of matte gold color by placing the cookies on decorative paper in clear bags.
A simple yet elegant favor for guests to take home and enjoy.
Congratulations Kristen and Gene!
